Broadband Optimization Solution Provider Adds Cable Industry Pioneer to Strategic Team
Wayne, New Jersey; July 25, 2011: OpenVault LLC, a provider of solutions which help broadband providers to manage bandwidth utilization on their networks and maximize the network’s revenue potential, is pleased to announced that it has appointed acclaimed cable pioneer, Rex Porter, to its strategic team. Mr. Porter joins OpenVault to assist in the implementation of the company’s aggressive growth strategy across the United States.
A 40 year veteran of the cable industry, Rex Porter ‘s contribution to the advancement of the industry includes being involved in the construction of more than 25 cable TV systems in the United States. His expertise and ongoing commitment to the industry includes Porter being an Emeritus/Senior/Founding member of the SCTE, past partner in the ownership of Times Fiber Communications, Charter Member of the Pathfinders, past President of the Southern Cable Association’s Tower Club, and member of the Arizona Cable Hall of Fame. Today he manages the SCTE’s Loyal Order of the 704, the cable engineers’ Pioneer Club. Porter was inducted into the 1977 class of NCTA Cable Pioneers.
