Mark Trudeau

Founder & CEO

Mark Trudeau is the founder and CEO of OpenVault, a global, leading source of broadband technology solutions and data-driven insights into worldwide broadband consumption patterns. As a self-proclaimed data geek, Mark is passionate about leveraging data to develop technologies that improve the world. Specifically, Mark has been instrumental in providing broadband operators with market data to anticipate residential and business broadband trends as well as tools that help service providers optimize network performance, increase revenue and improve subscriber satisfaction. In a little over a decade, Mark has grown OpenVault from a start-up tech company to a global leader of broadband analytics and SaaS solutions with employees and customers around the world. In fact, in just the last two years, Mark has grown the company through the pandemic, including launching OVBI, an industry-renowned quarterly data report; securing strategic investment from key customers; acquiring a world-class research and development team; and been named twice as one of the industry’s Top 100 Power Players by Cablefax. Prior to founding OpenVault, Mark led numerous technology companies through tremendous growth, achieving success for customers and investors; served as CEO for Ventraq, a private equity backed provider of software-based analytics solutions to the global telecom industry; and helped to launch and build the wireless business at Omnipoint, the first GSM wireless provider in the New York metropolitan area. Mark grew up in upstate New York and attended Union College where he was a multi-sport collegiate athlete, who supports the Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys. Today, he lives in Jersey City, New Jersey, with his wife Lauren. Together, the two successfully raised and launched two humans into the world.

Josh Barstow

Chief Commercial Officer

Josh Barstow is the Chief Commercial Officer of OpenVault where he divides his time across growth and leadership opportunities for the company, through executive account ownership of key accounts; business development in both technology partners and sales channels; and merger and acquisition activities.

Prior to joining OpenVault in 2018, Josh was the Vice President of Advanced Services at MetroCast Communications for 15 years. In this role, his responsibilities included the P&L for all broadband services with a focus on Voice, Internet, and Commercial Services. Josh graduated from Marietta College in 1991 and was part of the first graduating class of the McDonough School of Business and Leadership at Marietta College. He was also a member of the first SCTE Tuck school of Technology Leadership class in 2010.

A passionate New Englander, Josh lives on the seacoast of southern Maine in Kennebunk where he has resided throughout his entire career. Josh loves all things summer in Maine, from the beaches to the lakes and especially the seafood. As a dedicated dad, Josh coaches his kids’ local sports teams and looks forward to seeing them get through college in the not-so-distant future. If he wasn’t serving as OpenVault’s CCO, Josh would most likely go back to coaching either baseball or football as it has been something he has really enjoyed.

Tony Costa

Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

As an industry veteran who brings extensive experience in the telecom industry, Tony Costa serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for OpenVault. In this role, Tony oversees all aspects of product strategy, product management, development, technology infrastructure and operations. With over 25 years in leadership roles across engineering, product management, business development, and corporate development, Tony has brought to market a number of industry first products for startups and leading companies in the telecom, media, and technology industries including T-Mobile, Vodafone, Alcatel-Lucent, Canadian Marconi, RealNetworks, WeDo Technologies, Syniverse, MobileSpring and Ventraq.

Tony has Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Computer Science degrees from Stevens Institute of Technology. Tony has several patents related to communications algorithms, mobile applications, and prescriptive diagnostics and remediation. Tony brings leadership, creativity and vision to OpenVault at a critical time as the company launches innovative solutions and continues its global expansion.

Tony enjoys spending time with family and friends, impromptu late night food crawls, and high impact pickleball.

Brady Volpe

Chief Product Officer

Mr. Volpe brings over 30 years of invaluable expertise in the broadband cable and telecommunications industry. His extensive career began after he graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He started as an RF Engineer at C-COR Electronics (now Arris) and quickly delved into the world of DOCSIS while working at Filtronic Sigtek. During this time, he pursued further education and earned a Masters in Electrical Engineering with the highest honors (4.0) from Johns Hopkins Applied Research Lab.

At Sigtek, Mr. Volpe played a pivotal role in co-inventing the first portable DOCSIS Protocol Analyzer for the broadband cable market. His passion for innovation and product development led him to hold Vice President and Director positions at Sunrise Telecom and JDSU. During his tenure, he was instrumental in designing and successfully launching new products.

With a strong focus on technology, Mr. Volpe has made significant contributions to the industry. He is a patent holder and has been published in various publications. His blog, podcast, and livestream have garnered a large domestic and international following, including major MSOs and cable operators worldwide. His expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including High speed data, DOCSIS, OFDMA, PNM, HFC, security, network capacity, PMA, machine learning, RF, RxMER and more.

In 2013, Mr. Volpe founded Nimble This, becoming the first company to introduce Proactive Network Maintenance (PNM) to the commercial market. This groundbreaking approach has revolutionized network maintenance and optimization, helping businesses enhance their broadband services.

With his vast knowledge and passion for the industry, Mr. Volpe continues to drive innovation and contribute to the advancement of broadband technologies. In his spare time, Brady enjoys snorkeling, reading manuals and playing with kittens.

Keith Broach

Executive Vice President of Global Sales

As Executive Vice President of Global Sales for OpenVault, Keith is responsible for accelerating global adoption of the company’s SaaS-based broadband technology solutions. In this role, Keith oversees a multi-national team of sales executives, sales support professionals and partners to bring the network performance, customer satisfaction, and ROI benefits of the company’s growing suite of products to broadband providers internationally.

As an industry vet, Keith’s career has migrated from hardware centric route, switch, and optical environments to more software focused domains in network function virtualization and service orchestration. In his early days, Keith served in Network Operations and in Network Planning roles at Soutwestern Bell Telephone, where he developed a passion for building and operating service provider networks. He then went on to explore roles in sales, engineering, and product development for companies as large as Southwestern Bell and Cisco, as well as in startup environments at Cyan, 6WIND, and Cobo. In fact, Keith was instrumental in the successful launch of the Blue Planet platform at Cyan (now Ciena.) Keith holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.

Keith enjoys spending time with friends and family on the water, on the golf links and on the ski slopes. He is an avid college sports fan with college football Saturdays, the NCAA basketball tournament and the College World Series among his favorite sporting events, especially if the Arkansas Razorbacks are playing. He and his wife of 30 years, Terry, reside in Hot Springs, Arkansas, not far from their two beautiful daughters who have recently launched careers in the medical field.

Kristy Brown

Director of Operations and Support

As the Director of Operations and Support for OpenVault, Kristy manages the technical and system operations for both internal infrastructure and customer facing solutions and applications. She and her team are also customer facing, providing direct customer support and implementations.

With more than three decades of technology, customer support and system integration experience in the telecommunications industry, Kristy has consulted and provided expertise on establishing, deploying and managing help desks for numerous companies. In fact, she spent many years at Sprint in both technical and business management roles where she received recognition for deploying solutions to reduce costs and error rates.

When she is not working hard and helping OpenVault’s customers, Kristy enjoys spending time with family, the occasional home improvement project and traveling, especially to a beach!

Santhana Chari

VP of Broadband Analytics and Data Science

In his current role as VP of Broadband Analytics and Data Science, Santhana is responsible for developing product to automate the monitoring of broadband networks and to accomplish data-driven optimization of network performance. He is also focused on driving innovation in analytics and machine learning to improve network operations and customer experience. Prior to joining OpenVault, Santhana was a Senior Director of Engineering at Arris/CommScope where he led engineering teams in the development of various virtualized software products including the virtual CMTS, network monitoring software suites, and several IP Video delivery products. He was also a technology leader in CTO organization driving forward-looking product architectures and prototypes for several virtualization and analytics based network automation solutions. Santhana has spent over two decades in the telecommunication industry starting with his role as Vice President of Engineering at an early-stage start-up company, EG Technology, Inc., where he built the team that developed the industry’s first fully software based professional quality H.264 and HEVC video encoders and transcoders. These products were widely deployed at various cable operators for digital IP video delivery and EGT was acquired by Arris. Santhana holds a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. He holds over twenty patents in the areas of video processing, network automation, and analytics. He frequently presents technical papers at Cable and Broadcast industry conferences. He enjoys playing competitive tennis and taking nature walks with his family (and the dog) during his spare time.

Stuart Eaton

Vice President of Sales in Latin America

Stuart Eaton is OpenVault’s Vice President of Sales in Latin America. With more than 12 years of sales experience in the region, Stuart is a critical component to OpenVault’s commercial activities in the Latin American market. Having lived and worked in Mexico for Axtel, and in Brazil for Embratel, Stuart is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Stuart holds a BA from the University of New Mexico.

Stuart currently resides in South Florida with his wife, two kids and two dogs. When he is not busy analyzing Latin American broadband opportunities, Stuart enjoys playing guitar, going to the beach and wild-pig hunts.

John Mansor

Vice President of Development Operations

John Mansor is the Vice President of Development Operations for OpenVault, in which he supports the creation of solutions that help manage broadband networks. With 15 years telecommunications industry experience, John has worked with large and small operators building software and implementing software tools to improve communication and organizational efficiencies mainly focused on AI, automation and self-healing. He holds an MS of Information Science from Penn State University.

John lives with his wife and four kids in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. He enjoys playing soccer and pick-up basketball in his free time. He has also been known to pick up his guitar and play a few tunes.

Lisa Mundy

SVP of Product Strategy

Lisa Mundy is a seasoned telecommunications professional with over 28 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Application Development, and DevOps support starting in the wireless sector and currently in the cable space. As the Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at OpenVault, LLC, Lisa has demonstrated exceptional leadership in developing and executing comprehensive product strategies that align with company vision and market demands.Her career is marked by a commitment to integrity, collaboration, and continuous personal and professional growth. Lisa excels in fostering long-term client relationships and driving product innovation through a self-motivated and team-oriented approach. She has a proven track record in managing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Lauren Trudeau

Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Lauren Trudeau leads OpenVault’s Marketing and Human Resources teams to inspire and optimize the people and products behind the company that is a global source of broadband technology solutions and data-driven insights. Lauren’s career in the technology, broadband and telecommunications industry began more than 20 years ago in Customer Service at Verizon Wireless, where she honed her passion and skills at helping improve the overall customer experience. Since then, she has been involved in many aspects of executive management, including Revenue Assurance and Industry Relations. In fact, Lauren was an integral original member who helped launch Omnipoint, now T-Mobile, as the Director of Customer Care. Lauren also holds an MBA degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Always a passionate customer advocate and positive communicator, today Lauren brings a true team-oriented vision to OpenVault. In addition to motivating her coworkers and taking care of customers in the telecom and broadband business, Lauren also inspires her two productive, kind and caring adult children with her husband Mark. When she’s not traveling around the world meeting with OpenVault employees and customers, Lauren, a true Jersey girl at heart, spends her time “down the shore,” listening to Bruce and exploring Jersey City hot spots.
