Shentel Enters Three-Year Agreement for Full Suite of OpenVault Services
Platform Enables More Services to be Delivered to Shentel Subscribers
Wayne, NJ; (Wednesday, July 24, 2013) – OpenVault, the leading provider of easy-to-use tools to help Multiple System Operators (MSOs) increase revenues, reduce costs and manage growth, announced today that it has entered into a three-year agreement with Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) (NASDAQ: SHEN), to provide valuable data analytics that will help Shentel optimize its broadband services, deliver new services and increase customer satisfaction.
“Our expanding customer base has increasingly diverse needs. We wanted to empower our subscribers with access to information about their Internet usage so they can see what services and options best suit their requirements,” said Willy Pirtle, VP of Sales and Marketing, Shentel. “This information will enhance our customers’ experience and is another example of our commitment to offer high quality products and services that will enrich the lives of our subscribers, many of whom live in rural communities.”
Many subscribers are unaware of how their service could be improved by switching to a higher-bandwidth package. The OpenVault Suite allows subscribers to try out faster services without disrupting the provisioning and billing processes. This will allow for Shentel to grow its revenues without unnecessarily burdening its business support systems.
“Shentel engaged OpenVault because they wanted to offer a wider range of sophisticated high-speed data products to their subscribers,” said Rich Evans Executive Vice President of OpenVault. “In this fast-changing environment, more of our customers are interested in giving their subscribers choices and options to maintain their trust and to differentiate from competitors.”
Using the OpenVault Suite, Shentel will be able to provide its customers with real-time data on their internet usage and automatically recommend packages that will provide better value for money. For example, Shentel will be able to recommend a higher-speed package to users who frequently watch online videos. The OpenVault Suite is available through the cloud, requiring no on-premises installation or up-front expenditures.
