OPTIMIZE HSD and MANAGE NETWORK GROWTH
As the only completely independent telecommunications provider in Cyprus, Cablenet is one of the fastest-growing, privately-held telecommunications companies in the Mediterranean. In order to help better manage this rapid market expansion and ensure subscriber access and appropriate usage models, Cablenet was seeking an efficient solution for delivering the best quality service to its high-speed data (HSD) customers. Ultimately, with the explosion of global data growth, Cablenet was looking to not only manage congestion but also create a fair-use environment for their HSD subscribers.
To this end, OpenVault worked with Cablenet to create a customized, cloud-based platform that includes easy-to-use tools that does not require hardware, sophisticated policy servers or in-house expertise. In fact, by deploying a cloud-based solution, Cablenet was able to quickly, and cost-effectively, better understand their subscriber usage behaviors and make the necessary adjustments without any disruption in service. In essence, the OpenVault platform enabled Cablenet to manage their high-speed data services while extending the life of their network investments which helps to compensate for the unreimbursed increase in OTT traffic and the loss of premium video subscriptions.
